I took my eldest daughter to see fellow homeschoolers, Ruth and Nizaan, in their two- person performance of all things Shakespeare, in their show Shakespeare Unleashed at the Savoy, subtitle, Woo, Wit and Woe, and I was more than impressed.

If I were currently linked to a school, I'd want them to come perform for my English classes. Just to name a few, they cover Romeo and Juliet, the Tempest, The Shrew and Much Ado for woo, A Midsummer, Two Gentleman and All the world's a stage from A You Like It for wit, and Hamlet, Othello, Macbeth, and Romeo and Juliet again, for woe.

Their clever costume changes and inclusion of audience and piano, reminded me of iconic one or two person shows from the Grahamstown fest era.

I'm so proud of these local teen gals, who tackle every side of Shakespeare, male and female, with talent, humour and intuitive prowess. I highly recommend that you get hold of them, English teachers, and arrange something for your schools.

Do not miss this amazing performance

It is absolutely mind boggling how these two young ladies can flawlessly take on so many vastly different characters in a single production. At least 15 characters each and sometimes changing midflow and mid-costume change (which they often do on stage before your eyes), Transforming a cloak into a glorious gown while changing character, mid-sentence mind you, from a strapping young man into a maiden. The piano during the sonnets is beautiful and the costumes are a feast for the eyes. Highly recommended”, your hostess for the evening,
